Properties of Multiplication 7 Day Unit 3.OA.5

Anchor Charts: Anchor charts give a definition and a visual representation of each property. One anchor chart for each of the 5 properties.
Student Mini-Journal: This 19-page mini journal is all your students need to follow along with each lesson. Use all or a combination of these pages to tailor instruction to the needs of your students. Each lesson contains three parts:
1. Teacher Led Example- The teacher led example includes the objective for the lesson, a definition for the property, an example, and a picture to represent the example.
2. Guided Practice- Guided practice includes 6 problems to work through together.
3. Independent Practice- Independent practice includes 6 problems students should work through independently as you informally assess their progress.
Homework: Each of the 5 properties has a homework worksheet to go along with it. In addition, there are four additional homework or in-class worksheets that combine multiple properties. Each assignment/worksheet has an answer key included.
Exit Slips: Each of the 5 properties has a 1/4 page Exit Slip to go along with it. The exit slips include 1-3 problems based on that day’s lesson and are a great tool to quickly assess how much your students learned during the lesson. Answer keys included.
Study Guide: The study guide is a combination of vocabulary and computation and is designed for you to use as a review for your students prior to the assessment. Answer key included.
Assessment: The assessment follows the same format as the study guide with the order/numbers changed. The assessment tests your students learning on their understanding of the meaning of each property. This assessment also tests their application of each property. There are 15 total points on the assessment. Answer key included.
