Description

Engage your students in paperless practice of third grade Common Core math skills included in the Fractions domain.

Using Google Forms and this resource, you will be able to quickly assess student understanding to help you drive your instruction.

3.NF.1 – Identifying Fractions

  • Two 10-question forms asking students to identify the numerical fraction when given the pictorial fraction
  • Two 10-question forms asking students to identify the pictorial fraction when given the numerical fraction

3.NF.2 – Fractions on a Number Line

  • Two 10-question forms asking students to identify the numerical fraction when given a picture of a fraction number line with an arrow; multiple choice with 4 options and one correct answer for each question.

3.NF.3 – Fractions as Whole Numbers, Comparing Fractions, Equivalent Fractions

  • One ten-question google form quiz asking students to identify a whole number when given an improper (whole number) fraction.
  • One ten-question google form quiz asking students to identify the (whole number) fraction when given a picture.
  • Two ten-question google form quizzes asking students to identify the correct symbol (>, < or =) to compare numerical fractions with like denominators
  • One ten-question google form quiz asking students to identify the correct symbol (>, < or =) to compare numerical fractions with like numerators and other variations (ie: 2/2=4/4)
  • Two ten-question google form quizzes asking students to identify whether a given numerical fraction is greater than one half, less than one half, or equal to one half.
  • Two 10-question forms asking students to identify the the equivalent numerical fraction when given a picture of fraction bars
  • One 10-question form asking students to identify the missing number in an equivalent fraction sentence
  • One 10-question form asking students to identify the pictorial fraction equivalent to a given pictorial fraction

Important things for you to know:

Each quick check contains 10 questions, plus a field for first and last name.

Assign to your students by sharing the Google Form with them via Google Drive OR by assigning it through Google Classroom.

If you need additional identifying questions (class period, student number etc.), you will be able to add those to fit your needs!

Student responses and scores will populate AUTOMATICALLY in the spreadsheet, leaving more time for you to take care of other tasks.

These 10-question digital quick checks are also great for morning work, homework, and center work.

This resource specifically aligns with the Common Core Standards for 3rd grade, but can be applicable to other standards as they are skill based.
