GoogleDrive and Microsoft OneDrive resources can be accessed from laptops, computers, Chromebooks, iPads, and tablets with internet access.

Don’t have 1:1 devices? Set up these word work activities in a center or assign to students as extra practice from home!

Activities (One of the following for EACH of the short vowels):
Short Vowel Picture Card Sort: Students will drag and drop cards with a picture and word into the correct vowel sound column.

Type It Up: Students will practice typing and spelling as they type 4 words 3x each.

Sentence Writing: When provided with a picture and word, students will type a complete sentence that includes the word.

ABC Order: Students will drag and drop 5 words into correct ABC Order.

X and O: Students will place an O over short vowel words and an X over words that are not short vowels.

Unscramble: A picture and scrambled letter tiles are shown. Students will drag and drop letter tiles to unscramble the words.

Which One: Students will determine which version of the word is spelled correctly in a sentence. They will drag and drop to highlight the correctly spelled word.

Fill in the Blank: Students will fill in the missing word from a sentence. Picture clue included.

Build a Word: Students will use letter tiles to build their own words with short vowel sounds.

Build and Type: Given a picture clue, students will build the word with letter tiles and then type the word.

Read and Search: Students will read 5 sentences and type any 5 short vowel words that they find.
